Alan Curbishley has turned down the opportunity to become the new manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to reports.
The 54-year-old is believed to have been interviewed for the vacancy earlier this week, along with Neil Warnock and Steve Bruce.
It appears that Curbishley did enough in that process to impress the Wolves hierarchy, who are said to have offered him the role from which Mick McCarthy was sacked on Monday.
However, stories this afternoon have suggested that Curbishley has rejected Wolves' advances.
Curbishley has been out of management since leaving West Ham United in 2008.
