Franco Di Santos vows that he will improve this season and fire Wigan Athletic to Premier League safety.

Franco Di Santo has declared that he will improve on both last season's goal tally and celebrations.

The Argentine striker netted seven times last campaign to help Wigan Athletic avoid relegation.

Di Santo has vowed to score more goals and help fire Wigan higher up the table this time around.

"It was a good season for me personally scoring seven goals and winning the golden boot award," he told the club's official website. "But the aim for me this season is to improve on that number and as always do my best for the team.

"One thing I have been doing over the summer whilst on holiday is thinking of new celebrations, so hopefully the fans will get to see more dancing on the pitch this season."

Di Santo will hope to get the new season off to a flying start when Wigan entertain his old club Chelsea on August 19.
