West Ham United are locked in a battle with Lazio and Udinese for the signature of United States international Terrence Boyd, according to a report.
The 22-year-old, who was born in Bremen, joined Rapid Vienna from Borussia Dortmund last summer and went on to score 17 goals in the Austrian Bundesliga.
According to talkSPORT Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to boost his attacking options with Modibo Maiga and Mladen Petric being the only fit strikers at his disposal and could make a move in January.
Club record signing Andy Carroll is currently missing with a heel injury, and the medical team are unsure when he will return.
Watford are also believed to be interested in Boyd, who has won nine caps for the USMNT.
