Reece Oxford talks over new West Ham United contract 'stall'

West Ham United's contract talks with teenager Reece Oxford reportedly hit a stumbling block.

Talks over a new West Ham United contract for Reece Oxford have reportedly stalled.

The Premier League club have been in negotiations with the 17-year-old for some time, but so far an agreement has not been reached.

According to ESPN, the two parties have hit a stumbling block, which has alerted the attention of Manchester United and Manchester City.

Oxford made history last season when he became West Ham's youngest ever player to make a debut at the age of 16 years and 198 days in the Europa League qualifying stage.

When he made his Premier League bow, Oxford became the second youngest footballer to start a top-flight game, but he has struggled for minutes in the 2016-17 campaign.

Manager Slaven Bilic has used the teenager twice in Europa League qualifiers, but has not yet called on him in the league despite the Hammers losing their last four games.

Oxford has 18 months remaining on his current deal.
