Roberto Mancini emerges as candidate to replace West Ham boss Slaven Bilic?

Former Manchester City and Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini is reportedly a candidate to replace Slaven Bilic if West Ham United sack the manager.

Former Manchester City and Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has reportedly emerged as a possible replacement for West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic.

The Croatian coach remains in charge at the Hammers, but pressure is increasing following a poor start to the season.

The London club have picked up just three points in six games following one win and five defeats, the latest of which came in the form of a 3-0 loss to Southampton on home turf.

West Ham had a positive campaign last season as Bilic guided the team to seventh in the Premier League, bettering Liverpool and Chelsea.

However, the club's current place in the relegation zone has sparked speculation over the future of Bilic, who was named Sam Allardyce's successor last year.

According to Calciomercato, Mancini, who is out of work since leaving Inter in August, would be considered by West Ham if they opt to part company with Bilic.

Mancini failed to win any silverware during his second spell in charge of Inter, but in the Premier League he guided Man City to the domestic title and the FA Cup in a four-year stint.
