Former West Ham United defender Lucas Neill has been released by UAE club Al Jazira.
Neill's sudden availability is believed to have alerted a number of clubs in his native Australia, although his wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block.
The 34-year-old, who has also played for Everton and Millwall, has also been linked with Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr, who would have no problem meeting his financial request.
The full-back, who is captain of his country, is currently on international duty with the Australia squad that are preparing to face Denmark this afternoon.
