Sam Allardyce: 'We're under pressure to get result against QPR'

Sam Allardyce insists that West Ham United are "under pressure" to pick up more points in the Premier League.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has insisted that his side need to begin turning their positive performances into results ahead of this Sunday's match against Queens Park Rangers.

The Hammers succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United last weekend, despite playing against 10 men for a large part of the second half.

After six Premier League games, West Ham sit 13th in the table after taking seven points from a possible 18.

"It's another match when we're under pressure to get points on the board," Allardyce said in this morning's press conference. "We've had five very good performances but we've only got seven points and that's not enough from the performances. We have to turn those performances into results."

Allardyce's side have scored 10 goals and conceded as many so far this season.
