West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has revealed that he wants Saido Berahino to sign a new deal at The Hawthorns.
Berahino, 22, has returned to the fold in recent weeks following a long stand-off with the Baggies, which resulted from strong interest from Tottenham Hotspur, who had two bids turned down last summer.
Despite playing himself back into favour under Pulis, the Englishman will be out of contract at the end of next season and talks over a new and improved deal have yet to begin.
Pulis, however, has said that 'he would like' the striker to pen an extension, as long as the two parties can come to an agreement.
"I'd like him to sign a new contract if he could, but whether we'll get that or not, we'll have to wait and see. It's got to be the right deal," Pulis told reporters.
West Brom will travel to Arsenal in the Premier League on Thursday night.
