West Bromwich Albion chiefs have reportedly placed Tony Pulis on the top of their wanted list following the sacking of Alan Irvine.
The Scotsman was dismissed by the Premier League club on Monday evening following Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Stoke City, which has placed them just one point above the relegation zone.
According to The Express, Pulis is the frontrunner for the position due to his expertise of saving clubs lingering at the bottom of the table, while former Tottenham Hotspur coach Tim Sherwood is believed to be a back-up option should the Baggies fail to convince Pulis to move to The Hawthorns.
Pulis has not had a coaching job since leaving Crystal Palace before the start of the season, while Sherwood has been out of work since getting sacked by Spurs in May.
Reports have claimed that West Brom will appoint Irvine's successor by the weekend.
