West Bromwich Albion midfielder James McClean has reportedly been warned by head coach Tony Pulis after he refused to take part in the national anthem during a pre-season friendly.
The Republic of Ireland player turned his back when 'God Save The Queen' began playing and bowed his head before helping his team to a 2-1 victory over Richmond Kickers.
According to the Daily Mail, Pulis has spoken to McClean about the incident and warned him to be more careful in the future as his actions sparked controversy.
In November last year while playing for Wigan Athletic, McClean, who was born in Derry, Northern Ireland, refused to wear a poppy on his shirt to mark Remembrance Day.
