Team News: Victor Anichebe starts for West Bromwich Albion

Striker Victor Anichebe passes a late fitness test to start against Gateshead in the FA Cup third round.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis has included striker Victor Anichebe in his starting lineup for his first match at The Hawthorns against Gateshead.

Anichebe had been struggling with a groin problem but after passing a late fitness test, he has been included alongside Saido Berahino in attack.

First-choice goalkeeper Ben Foster has been rested by Pulis, with Boaz Myhill taking his place between the sticks as the Baggies look to lift the mood at the club with a win over the Conference Premier side.

Gateshead manager Gary Mills has made two changes to the team that drew with Halifax Town in their last outing.

Michael Rankine and Alex Rodman have been brought into the lineup as the non-league outfit look to cause one of the shocks of the round in the West Midlands.

West Bromwich Albion XI: Myhill, Pocognoli, McAuley, Dawson, Baird, Morrison, Brunt, Dorrans, Sessegnon, Anichebe, Berahino
Subs: Foster, Wisdom, Yacob, Mulumbu, Varela, Samaras, Ideye

Gateshead XI: Bartlett, Jones, Curtis, Clark, Oster, Turnbull, Baxter, Rankine, Rodman, Pattison, Gjokaj
Subs: Chandler, Shaw, Guy, Ramshaw, Allan, Wilson, Wright
