Heurelho Gomes to join Watford on free transfer

Watford agree to sign Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes on a one-year deal in July.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has agreed a move to Watford on a one-year deal.

The North London outfit announced earlier this week that Gomes would be leaving White Hart Lane, and the Brazilian stopper has wasted little time in securing a team for the next campaign.

Watford, who finished in 13th position in the Championship last season, have agreed terms with the 33-year-old to move to Vicarage Road on July 1.

Gomes had been at Spurs since 2008, but his last appearance for the club came in 2011 and he ended last season on loan at Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.
