Terry Yorath backs Chris Coleman for Wales job

Former Wales manager Terry Yorath backs current boss Chris Coleman to remain in charge of the national team.

Former Wales manager Terry Yorath has backed current boss Chris Coleman to remain in charge of the national team.

Coleman, whose current contract is due to expire following Saturday's friendly with Finland, is yet to sign a new deal.

However, Yorath believes that the 43-year-old should be allowed to lead Wales in the future.

"Just get behind him," he told BBC Sport. "He is the man for the job and let him get on with it.

"Chris needs the FAW (Football Association of Wales) to get right behind him and come out and say they are right behind him."

Coleman was appointed Wales manager in January 2012 following the death of Gary Speed.
