Toulouse comfortably handle Brest

Goals from Wissam Ben Yedder and Etienne Capoue give Toulouse a 3-1 win over Brest.

Toulouse have seen off Brest with a 3-1 win, courtesy of goals from Wissam Ben Yedder and Etienne Capoue.

Toulouse started the brighter team and could have been ahead after just five minutes, but Franck Tabanou's shot on target was saved.

There were few chances created in the opening half an hour, but Toulouse got themselves ahead through a Ben Yedder strike on the 30-minute mark.

Brest could have been seven minutes later but Paul Baysse's shot could not beat Ahamada in the home goal.

It was 2-0 five minutes before the break, Capoue heading in from a cross by Etienne Didot and Toulouse were looking comfortable.

Brest became a little more positive in the second half and it was a good block that stopped Charlison Benschop getting a goal back for the visitors.

Brest got a goal back through Benoit Lesoimier, but the hosts added another late on through Adrien Regattin to take the points.
