Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa will start in defence for Newcastle United as Fabricio Coloccini misses out with a back injury.

Rob Elliot will continue in goal with Tim Krul still sidelined as Newcastle United travel to meet Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon.

Fabricio Coloccini is also nursing an injury and is replaced at the back by Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, but otherwise the Magpies are unchanged from their 4-2 victory over Southampton.

Meanwhile, Gary Monk starts in defence for the Swans, who won the Capital One Cup with a 5-0 triumph over Bradford City on Sunday.

Goalscorers Michu, Nathan Dyer and Jonathan de Guzman all start.

Swansea: Vorm, Rangel, Monk, Williams, Davies, Britton, De Guzman, Routledge, Dyer, Hernandez, Michu

Newcastle: Elliot, Santon, Debuchy, S Taylor, Yanga-Mbiwa, Cabaye, Tiote, Sissoko, Gutierrez, Gouffran, Cisse
