Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup reveals that midfielder Jonathan de Guzman has been designated as the club's penalty taker.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has revealed that midfielder Jonathan de Guzman will continue penalty duties should his side get one in their upcoming matches.

De Guzman was involved in a war of words with teammate Nathan Dyer during the Capital One Cup final after Swansea were awarded a penalty in their 5-0 victory over Bradford City.

After winning the dispute, the Dutch midfielder scored from the spot, and Laudrup has insisted that he will continue that responsibility in the future.

Laudrup told the Daily Star: "Maybe we will go on a good run now and get another one tomorrow.

"I have a designated penalty taker. If Jonathan is on the pitch, he will take the penalty."

De Guzman has scored eight goals in 34 appearances for Swansea since joining the club on loan from Villarreal during the summer.
