Ki Sung-yueng: 'I've had the best season of my career'

Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng feels that he has enjoyed the best season of his career under Garry Monk after being outcast by former manager Michael Laudrup.

Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng believes that he has had his best season of his career in the 2014-15 campaign.

The South Korea international spent last year on loan at Sunderland after being outcast by former manager Michael Laudrup.

However, Ki has thrived under Garry Monk this season and scored his eighth goal of the campaign in his side's 2-0 win over Stoke City to move his team within four points of seventh-placed Southampton.

Ki told the club's official website: "It has maybe been the best season for myself. I always give 100%, and I want to finish this season well. I always try to help the team to win. I didn't play as much today, but it doesn't matter if it's one minute or 90 minutes, I always want to help.

"Stoke were just behind us before today, so it was important we made sure we took the points at our home ground. The boys, especially in the second half, were fantastic. We kept the ball and controlled the game.

"It's our best season ever in the Premier League, and we hope to get more points with three games to go. It's not impossible to reach seventh position, so we will keep challenging ourselves."

Swansea have recorded their best Premier League season by taking 53 points from their 35 matches so far this term.
