Gus Poyet has said that there has been no offer from Swansea City for the vacant managerial post at the Liberty Stadium.
The former Sunderland manager - now at Greek side AEK Athens - was reported to have been interested in the job after the Swans opted to sack Garry Monk last week with the club edging closer to the Premier League relegation zone.
"I don't have any proposal from Swansea," Poyet is quoted as saying by Wales Online. "So I don't want to answer and to speak about an 'if'.
"There is nothing to talk about. I had made statements before. If something happens we will comment."
Former Argentina and Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa is the odds-on favourite to succeed Monk in South Wales, while Sevilla boss Unai Emery and current Chile manager Jorge Sampaoli are also in the running.
