Sunderland 2-0 Swansea

Sunderland defeat Swansea by two goals at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland have secured their fourth win in five games, beating Swansea 2-0 at the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

Midfielder Stephane Sessegnon put the home side ahead inside the first 15 minutes, finding James McClean inside the area from his wide position and then making himself available for the return pass. From a tight angle, the former PSG man found the far side of the net to go a goal up.

Substitute Craig Gardner doubled the home side's lead late in the second half, taking the ball on the outside of the area and smashing it past Swansea keeper Michel Vorm for the win.
