Half-Time Report: Goalless between Sunderland, Leicester City

Neither side can find a breakthrough in the opening 45 minutes of the relegation encounter between Sunderland and Leicester City at the Stadium of Light.

It is goalless at the break of the Premier League relegation showdown between Sunderland and Leicester City at the Stadium of Light.

Dick Advocaat's men came close to taking the lead when they won a free kick 30 yards out and Sebastian Larsson curled an effort towards the bottom corner, which forced Kasper Schmeichel into a solid stop.

Sunderland pressed forward and almost found a way through Schmeichel as Lee Cattermole lifted a through ball into the path of Danny Graham, who fired a volley at goal, but the keeper was able to make the stop.

The Black Cats continued to have the better of the opportunities as Graham and Connor Wickham linked up on the edge of the box, but the latter could only fire his strike over the crossbar.
