Stoke City manager Tony Pulis was pleased with his side's performance in their 3-1 Europa League group stage defeat at Besiktas.
The Potters, who had already qualified for the knockout round before the match, finished second in Group E after their first loss in this season's competition.
Ricardo Fuller gave City the lead before three Besiktas goals saw the Turkish side top the group.
"It was a really good performance. The first quarter of an hour we were a little bit on the back foot, we looked like a team who hadn't played together for a while. Then the goal went in and we looked very comfortable," said Pulis.
"For all their possession in the first half, we had the three best chances.
"We've gone down with a bit of glory today."
Stoke travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday.
