St Mirren relegated from Scottish Premiership

Motherwell's 3-1 win over Kilmarnock condemns St Mirren to relegation from the Scottish Premiership.

St Mirren have been relegated from the Scottish Premiership following Motherwell's win over Kilmarnock earlier this evening.

Ian Baraclough's side secured a 3-1 victory at Fir Park, leaving them 11 points clear of the division's bottom side, who have just three matches still to play.

The Saints have played in Scotland's top flight since the 2006-07 season, having previously been relegated in 2001.

Gary Teale's team travel to Dingwall to face fellow strugglers Ross County tomorrow.
