Tommy Wright: 'St Johnstone victory not pretty'

Tommy Wright says that St Johnstone's 2-1 win over Kilmarnock "wasn't pretty" as the team won for the seventh time in their last eight games.

Tommy Wright has said that St Johnstone's 2-1 win over Kilmarnock "was not pretty".

Saints had to come from behind as goals from Michael O'Halloran and Christopher Kane gave the Perth club their seventh win in eight games.

"Today wasn't pretty at times but we showed we've got a real quality that, when you don't play particularly well, you can still win games," Wright told BBC Sport.

"We played a lot better in the second half; we dealt well with a lot of balls into the box. In what wasn't a pretty game we got the right result."

The result sees St Johnstone cement their place in fourth position in the Scottish Premiership table.
