Rudi Voller: 'Son Heung-min, Tottenham Hotspur deal not close'

Son Heung-min is not on the verge of a move to Tottenham Hotspur, according to Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller.

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has denied that a deal with Tottenham Hotspur is close for forward Son Heung-min.

Reports had suggested that the South Korean international was having a medical ahead of a transfer to the club and, although Voller has said that talks are ongoing, the deal is not close.

He told Sky Deutschland: "There is a request and there are talks. But nothing is done. At this moment he is our player. I saw many medicals in this business where there was no deal afterwards. We will try to reach an agreement, but only under our conditions."

Son joined Leverkusen from Hamburg in 2013.
