Tottenham Hotspur switch focus to Charlie Austin?

Tottenham Hotspur identify Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin as an alternative to Saido Berahino, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin as an alternative to Saido Berahino.

Spurs have been heavily linked with the West Bromwich Albion man, although they have had two bids knocked back by the Baggies.

It has been suggested that chairman Daniel Levy could pull out of a deal because he is unwilling to meet West Brom's £25m asking price.

According to The Express, Spurs have made Austin a potential alternative should a deal for Berahino fall through.

It is thought that the Hoops are looking for £15m for the former Burnley frontman, who has netted four goals in as many Championship appearances for QPR so far this season.

The 26-year-old scored 18 times as QPR were relegated from the Premier League last season.
