Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll has played down speculation linking his club with a loan move for Jermaine Jenas.
Reports had claimed that the Tottenham midfielder was close to completing a switch back to the City Ground, where his professional career started back in 2001.
However, O'Driscoll has insisted that he has not discussed the possibility of signing Jenas with anybody from White Hart Lane.
"When you read the piece I think it is a source close to the player," he told BBC Radio Nottingham. "I've not had contact with Tottenham or anybody else, so at the minute it is just speculation."
Jenas has made one Premier League appearance for Spurs this season.
