Roma manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly targeted Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and plans to reunite with the Frenchman.
Ndombele arrived in North London heading into the 2019/20 season, and Mourinho was appointed in November, with the midfielder going on to make more than 40 appearances for the club under the Portuguese manager before his departure in April 2021.
Roma acted quickly to appoint Mourinho as their new boss, and he is now said to be interested in bringing the Frenchman to the Italian capital.
According to Calcio Mercato, the Giallorossi have identified the midfield as the key area needing strengthening, and see Ndombele as a priority, with a swoop potentially being planned for the January transfer window.
Since the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the summer, the 24-year-old has made just two Premier League appearances this season, starting in consecutive defeats to Chelsea and Arsenal.
