Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed that Gareth Bale's departure to Real Madrid could happen "very, very soon".

The Welsh winger is understood to be on the verge of a world-record £86m transfer to the Spanish giants.

"It's a dream move for him," Villas-Boas told reporters. "It could happen very, very soon."

Villas-Boas also claimed that Tottenham are considering fining Bale for refusing to attend training over the past two days.
