Tottenham Hotspur consider fining Gareth Bale

Tottenham Hotspur consider fining Gareth Bale for not attending training.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that the club is considering fining Gareth Bale for not attending training.

The Welsh winger failed to turn up at Spurs' training ground in Enfield on Tuesday and Wednesday as he moves closer to joining Real Madrid.

"He is involved in a big transfer move to Real Madrid and in the end if it happens, we wish him all the best, but the fact that he hasn't turned up is not the correct behaviour," Villas-Boas told reporters.

"That is the position they chose to take and it's up to the club to decide if it's a fineable offence."

Madrid are understood to be prepared to pay a record £86m fee for Bale.
