Benoit Assou-Ekotto completes move to Queens Park Rangers

Tottenham Hotspur defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto confirms on Twitter that he has completed a move to QPR.

Tottenham Hotspur left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto has confirmed that he has joined Queens Park Rangers.

Assou-Ekotto's future at White Hart Lane had come under increasing speculation this summer, with former manager Harry Redknapp expressing his desire to bring the Cameroon international to Loftus Road.

The 29-year-old took to Twitter to reveal the news, although, with no official confirmation from either club yet, it is unclear whether it is a loan deal or a permanent transfer.

Assou-Ekotto made 195 appearances for Spurs between 2006 and 2013, scoring five goals.
