Harry Redknapp wants Emmanuel Adebayor, Benoit Assou-Ekotto reunion

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp launches a late attempt to sign Tottenham Hotspur pair Emmanuel Adebayor and Benoit Assou-Ekotto on loan.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has reportedly launched an audacious late double-loan swoop for Tottenham Hotspur duo Emmanuel Adebayor and Benoit Assou-Ekotto.

Redknapp believes that Adebayor and Assou-Ekotto are available after a busy week of new arrivals at White Hart Lane, with a season-long loan offer on the table for both players, according to The Mirror.

Adebayor's future has been the subject of intense speculation for the much of the summer following the arrival of Spanish striker Roberto Soldado.

The Togolese striker refused a move to Besiktas last month but with Jermain Defoe also blocking his path, he looks unlikely to figure in manager Andre Villas-Boas's plans this season.

Assou-Ekotto has also been mentioned in connection with a move away from Spurs during the close season after being restricted to 11 Premier League appearances last season.

After working with both players during his time in charge at Spurs, Redknapp believes that he pull off a deadline-day coup, but has less than 24 hours to make either deal happen.
