Tottenham Hotspur trio absent from Everton match

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood reveals that Erik Lamela, Vlad Chiriches and Sandro will miss the club's match with Everton on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood has revealed that he is unsure when Erik Lamela, Vlad Chiriches and Sandro will return to the first-team squad.

The trio missed their side's 1-1 draw with Hull City last weekend, and Sherwood has admitted that it is unclear when either of them will reappear in a Spurs shirt.

The 45-year-old told reporters: "Erik is injured. He's had a thigh injury and he's had a niggle in his back. We're still assessing him, along with Vlad Chiriches and Sandro. They're the three who are not available for the weekend.

"The medical staff keep monitoring the situation. I keep asking from an update, and they keep telling me that we'll just have to investigate a little bit further. Hopefully we're making progress, I couldn't put a time on it."

Spurs can move past Everton in the Premier League table with three points at White Hart Lane.
