Report: Andre Villas-Boas has a month to save his job

Andre Villas-Boas reportedly has a month to save his job at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has one month to save his job, according to a report.

The Portuguese coach has seen his position come under scrutiny after a string of disappointing results in the Premier League - the most recent being a 6-0 thrashing at Manchester City.

According to The Mirror, billionaire owner Joe Lewis has been left angered by a run of form which has seen just seven points taken from the last 18 available.

As a result, Spurs have slipped to ninth ahead of this afternoon's game at home to Manchester United.

The Lilywhites have nine fixtures in all competitions in December, and if the Bahamas-based businessman is not satisfied with results then Villas-Boas will face the chop.

Reports have suggested the Russia boss Fabio Capello - a close friend and former colleague of sporting director Franco Baldini - has been named as an early contender to succeed the 36-year-old.
