Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino wary of Newcastle United confidence

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is wary of Newcastle United arriving at White Hart Lane high on confidence after a win against Leicester City last weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is wary of Newcastle United going on a run after earning three hard-fought points against Leicester City last weekend.

Spurs host the Magpies tomorrow afternoon, and will be hoping they can repeat their Europa League form domestically after their 5-1 thrashing of Asteras Tripolis on Thursday.

"They have very good players," Pochettino told Spurs TV. "Maybe in the beginning of the season it was difficult for them, but in the last game they got the three points at home.

"That means they are coming here with confidence, but we need to show a good performance and try to win the three points.

"We play at home in front of our supporters and we hope that we have a very good performance and get the three points."

Newcastle's rejuvenated striker Papiss Cisse is doubtful for the match.
