Mauricio Pochettino: 'Tottenham Hotspur playing well enough to win'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino insists that his side have been playing well enough to win games, ahead of their clash with Sunderland on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that his team are playing well enough to win games.

Spurs sit 16th in the Premier League table following three draws and one defeat in their opening four fixtures, but the Argentine coach believes that some of the results have not accurately represented the level of performance.

"Always when Tottenham play it is important to win. We need to start to win the games because our performances have been good but in football it is all about the results," he told reporters.

"I think against Everton we competed much better than we did against Leicester City and Stoke City. I think that we improve our level of focus during the game and now we need to follow in the same way. We have the quality to win the game.

"If we keep playing how we've been playing, the results will come."

Spurs travel to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland on Sunday.
