Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino says that he is placing no timeframe on the return of Victor Wanyama, who has been sidelined since August.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has reiterated that he remains unclear over the recovery time for Victor Wanyama.

The midfielder has been sidelined since August with a knee injury, and Pochettino has previously said that he did not know when the Kenyan international would return to action.

Ahead of the club's final Champions League group game with APOEL, the Argentine has revealed that Wanyama is no nearer to making just his third outing of the season.

The 45-year-old told reporters: "I cannot say the time. He is doing well.

"We will assess day by day, week by week to see when he can join the group again and start training. Today I can't say anything about the timing."

Last season, Wanyama made 47 appearances in all competitions after moving to Spurs from Southampton.
