Half-Time Report: Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Aston Villa

Tottenham and Aston Villa are level at 0-0 at half-time, despite the home side creating the better chances.

Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are level at 0-0 after a stalemate of a half.

Tottenham started very brightly when Gareth Bale and then Moussa Dembele shot off target in the first and second minute respectively.

Dembele tested Brad Guzan again in the 10th minute with a shot on target but it was well saved.

Villa finally came to life and had two efforts on goal on 12 and 13 minutes through Karim El Ahmadi and then Gabriel Agbonlahor. However, El Ahmadi missed and Ahbonlahor's shot was blocked.

Clint Dempsey then missed the target with a shot in the 29th minute as Spurs continued to press as Jermain Defoe was also off target a minute later.

Hugo Lloris had to be alert in the 38th minute to steal the ball from the feet of Agbonlahor as he raced clear.

Defoe was then denied by a block in the 37th minute before shooting wide with five minutes of the half to play.
