Tottenham Hotspur to earn £6.5m from Gareth Bale's Champions League win?

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly earn £6.5m from Gareth Bale's Champions League glory with Real Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly earn £6.5m from Real Madrid's Champions League triumph as part of a deal that resulted in Gareth Bale moving to the Bernabeu last summer.

The Welshman helped Real clinch their 10th European Cup by scoring a crucial goal in extra time to push the team to a 4-1 victory over Atletico Madrid in Lisbon on Saturday.

According to the Daily Mail, despite Spurs selling Bale last summer, clauses in the £85m deal state that the North London outfit could pocket some cash after the Welshman won the coveted European trophy in his first season.

As well as the Champions League, the most expensive footballer in history has won the Copa del Rey with Real in his first 12 months in Spain.
