Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane has said that he was delighted to exchange shirts with his "role model" Cristiano Ronaldo following Tuesday's Champions League clash at the Bernabeu.
Tottenham earned an impressive point in Madrid after the European champions failed to build on Ronaldo's equaliser before the break, which cancelled out an own goal from Raphael Varane in the 28th minute.
Kane has revealed that he asked for Ronaldo's shirt after the final whistle, and the England international was delighted to acquire the famous number seven top.
"I asked for his shirt," Kane told the Daily Mail. "He's a big role model of mine, watching him when I was growing up. It's a nice shirt to get and frame. I gave him my shirt. I don't know what he'll do with it. We just said, 'See you in a couple of weeks'".
Kane has scored 11 times in 11 appearances for Tottenham this season, while Ronaldo has seven goals in nine matches for Real Madrid since the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
