Sporting Kansas City have thrashed Montreal Impact 3-0 in today's Major League Soccer clash at the Saputo Stadium, thanks to a brace from Dominic Dwyer and a goal from Paulo Nagamura.
The high-flying Eastern Conference outfit were gifted a penalty in the 17th minute of the game when Collen Warner was penalised for handball inside the Impact box.
After the 25-year-old was sent off for his troubles, Dwyer stepped up and duly converted his penalty to put the visitors a goal up.
Midway through the first half, Kansas doubled their lead when Chance Myers whipped a cross into the box, Nagamura getting on the end of it and driving the ball home.
The away side kept on pressing after the break, with efforts from Seth Sinovic and Graham Zusi further troubling Montreal goalkeeper Troy Perkins.
Eventually, Kansas scored a third goal, when a pinpoint through-ball by Tony Dovale was poked home by Dwyer.
