Jose Fonte hails "unplayable" Graziano Pelle

Southampton defender Jose Fonte says that teammate Graziano Pelle is "unplayable" following his brace in the draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

Jose Fonte has described Graziano Pelle as "unplayable" after he scored twice during Southampton's draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

The Italian forward was responsible for both goals in the 2-2 draw with Spurs, taking his total for his first season at St Mary's to 15.

Club captain Fonte told the club's website: "That's what he can do. When he is on his game he is unplayable so that's what we want to see, Pelle like we did.

"I've been trying to get my goal this season. For various reasons it hasn't happened and it was my day again. A little bit more luck and I could have had two.

"We keep going, but we knew we had a good chance to win and make sure it was in our hands. Now we have four games and we need to hope they drop a few pints so we can get fifth or sixth."

Pelle will be looking to add to his tally when Southampton travel to Sunderland next Saturday.
