Graziano Pelle missing for Southampton's trip to Norwich City

Graziano Pelle will miss a third straight game due to a knee injury when Southampton travel to face Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed that he will be without striker Graziano Pelle for Saturday's Premier League trip to Norwich City.

The Italian frontman has missed the Saints' last two matches with a knee injury and will again not be available at Carrow Road on the first Premier League matchday of 2016.

Koeman revealed at his press conference this morning that both Pelle and Cedric Soares would remain absent, with the squad set to remain the same from Monday's 2-1 defeat at West Ham United.

Another striker, Jay Rodriguez, has not played in over two months and Koeman expects the Englishman to remain out for a few more weeks.

Koeman also said that he would not panic-buy a forward in the upcoming January transfer window, but did admit that any potential moves could depend on the recovery of Pelle and Rodriguez.
