Shrewsbury Town caretaker manager Mike Jackson believes that winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing can offer his side 'something different' during his short spell at the club.
Mendez-Laing has signed a month-long deal at the Shropshire outfit after joining from Peterborough United, and Jackson has insisted that the former Wolverhampton Wanderers player has the ability to win matches by himself.
The 40-year-old told the club's official website: "He's something a little bit different for us. He's got that pace and power about him, that speed, and on his day, he can destroy teams.
"I think that he's a good acquisition. He knows this level, League One, and he's local, which doesn't mean he's travelling all over the place. He'll be a good addition."
The 21-year-old has scored three times in 20 matches for Peterborough this season, but the majority of his appearances have been from the substitutes' bench.
