Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has reportedly lodged an interest in becoming the next Sheffield United manager.
Schmeichel has completed his coaching badges and believes that Bramall Lane could provide the perfect platform to cut his teeth as a head coach, according to The Mirror.
The 49-year-old is currently searching for his first opportunity as a coach, following a distinguished playing career which included eight seasons at Old Trafford and 129 caps for Denmark.
