Unai Emery hails "important" win

Sevilla boss Unai Emery claims that Sunday's 4-1 win over Real Valladolid "was very important".

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has praised his side following Sunday's 4-1 win over Real Valladolid.

The victory at the Estadio Ramon moved Sevilla onto 44 points, eight points clear of eighth-place Valencia and level on points with sixth-place Villarreal.

"This win was very important for us. Because to get to 44 points means we can reinforce a place in the Europa League," he told reporters at a press conference.

Sevilla have recently learned that midfielder Sebastian Cristoforo will miss the remainder of the season with a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee.
