Sevilla earn a point against 10-man Slovan Liberec

A late goal from Manchin earns Sevilla a point against Slovan Liberec in the Europa League, after the home side had been reduced to 10 men.

Sevilla have earned a late 1-1 draw against 10-man Slovan Liberec in the Europa League this evening.

Machin Vitolo scored in the 88th minute for the Spanish side, not long after goalkeeper Premysl Kovar had been shown a red card.

Despite keeping the ball well in the early stages, Sevilla rarely threatened their opponents' goal and came closest through Coke's wild long-range effort 14 minutes in.

A few minutes later the home side took the lead with a flowing counter-attack. Serhiy Rybalka found Michael Rabusic with a clever through-ball and the midfielder made no mistake, firing the ball into the bottom corner.

Kevin Gameiro then failed to get on the end of Bryan Rabello's pass before Rybalka forced a good save with a powerful effort from the edge of the box.

The home side could have gone further ahead with two good chances for Josef Sural after the break.

First, the winger saw his curling effort tipped wide by Javi Varas, then, after stealing the ball from Nicolas Pareja, he was again denied by the goalkeeper.

With 13 minutes to go, Kovar brought down Carlos Bacca as he ran clear towards goal. Referee Mike Dean awarded a free kick just outside the box and showed the goalkeeper the red card.

The visitors made their advantage count as they poured forward after that, eventually getting their equaliser two minutes from the end. Gamerio poked the ball through to Machin, who fired under the goalkeeper from a tight angle.
