Allan McGregor withdraws from Scotland squad to face Peru, Mexico

Allan McGregor drops out of Scotland's squad for the upcoming friendly internationals against Peru and Mexico, with the uncapped Scott Bain taking his place.

Scotland will be without goalkeeper Allan McGregor for their end-of-season friendlies against Peru and Mexico.

The 29-year-old, who signed for Rangers on a free contract earlier this week, has been replaced in the squad by Celtic's Scott Bain.

Bain will be hoping to win his first cap in the upcoming games, having only once been called up to the senior national side.

Millwall's Jordan Archer and Jon McLaughlin of Hearts are the other two keepers in Scotland's travelling party.

Alex McLeish's men face Peru on May 30, before taking on Mexico four days later as part of their American tour.
