Scotland boss Craig Levein is aiming to beat world champions Spain in their Euro 2012 qualifier on Tuesday.

Scotland manager Craig Levein has said that he will send his side out to beat world champions Spain in their Euro 2012 qualifier on Tuesday.

The Scots are second in Group I after a 1-0 win in Liechtenstein, but they need to match or better the Czech Republic's result against Lithuania to secure a playoff place.

Despite the possibility that they may only need a draw, Levein believes that only a win will do.

"It is a tall order, but it is a one-off match," he told BBC Radio Scotland.

"You saw the first time round at Hampden that we are capable of scoring goals and the boys have won six of their last nine matches, so we're going into this game in good spirits.

"We've got to go and try and win."

Scotland lost the reverse fixture at Hampden Park 3-2 a year ago after they conceded a late goal to the World Cup winners.
