Half-Time Report: Schalke 04 level with SC Paderborn

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's goal sends Schalke 04 into the break level at 1-1 with SC Paderborn.

Schalke 04 have fought back to go into the half-time interval drawing 1-1 with SC Paderborn.

The first chance of the game fell to Paderborn forward Stefan Kutschke, who headed just over the crossbar after finding the space to meet Mario Vrancic's inviting cross.

Schalke continued to live dangerously as the hosts dominated possession, with Rafa striking the post after latching on to a loose ball in the box.

Paderborn finally made the breakthrough when Kutschke earned the room to deliver a cross which was inadvertently put into the net by Kaan Ayhan as he looked to hold off Lukas Rupp in the box.

However, Schalke were back on level terms before the break when Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting drilled home after Paderborn had failed to clear a cross from Atsuto Uchida.
