Fabio Capello's first match in charge of the Russian national team has ended in a 1-1 draw with the Ivory Coast.
Following a goalless opening 45 minutes, hosts Russia took the lead courtesy of a strike from CSKA Moscow attacker Alan Dzagoev.
Capello's side continued to dominate the encounter, but were unable to extend their lead further.
Their failure to do so was punished in the closing stages by the Ivorians. Former Leeds United and Leicester City winger Max Gradel was the scorer when he reacted quickest inside the area to fire into the net.
